When I scroll through my social media feeds, there isn’t a swipe that goes by without seeing a recipe for a meal made in less than 30 minutes using a new pressure-cooking appliance. Making anything in 30 minutes or less has always intrigued me, but I never took the plunge. Honestly, I really did not need another item in my kitchen taking up space and not being used. But the Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cooker interested me because it does everything I need to do using one pot: slow cook, pressure cook, brown and sauté, and steam.

The multi-cooker was everything I thought it would be and more. It has a simple design and, compared to my large traditional Crock-Pot, is about the same weight and a little bit taller, which is what I was most concerned about regarding storage. It is a very attractive appliance made of stainless steel with black accents, and it conveniently comes with a fitted rack for steaming and a handy spoon for stirring. I actually wouldn’t mind having this out on my counter all the time and ready to rock!

There were not many steps in setting up the appliance to start cooking: Once out of the box, all I had to do was connect the power source and clean the pot and lid. The stainless steel and digital panel are attractive and easy to navigate. As an intermediate cook, I very much appreciate the straightforward one-touch meal options. The interior pot is lightweight, easy to maneuver and nonstick, making cleanup a breeze. It also is dishwasher-safe, which is my favorite part because it’s quick to clean up after dinner and perfect for busy lifestyles.

I made two successful recipes: salsa chicken breasts (my own recipe) and beef stroganoff (Crock-Pot’s recipe from the included cookbook). I liked being able to sauté prior to cooking for versatility with my recipes. Another thing I enjoy is being able to have two protein foods prepared for the week in less than four hours.

The Express Crock Multi-Cooker is similar to a traditional pressure cooker and has a lever on the top to release steam; it is important to be careful and remember this step. I pressure-cooked the salsa chicken, and it was tender but did not absorb as much flavor as when I make it in the slow-cooker. In the future, I will add more seasoning to recipes when using the pressure-cooking feature. I slow-cooked the beef stroganoff, and it turned out tender and full of flavor.

I would recommend this multifunctional product to friends, family and clients who would enjoy the features of a slow-cooker and a pressure cooker without the clutter of two appliances.Conquer and Cook Any Recipe with This Multi-Cooker - It is an easy way to quickly cook and slow-cook meals based on your schedule.
