Product reviewed: Kitchen HQ Personal Vacuum Blender
Warmer weather means smoothie season! You might want to consider keeping a blender on hand. Although going to your favorite spot to purchase a blended drink is fun and convenient, it can be just as fun and more budget-friendly to make your own smoothies.
The Kitchen HQ Personal Vacuum Blender is a convenient option. Its small, sleek design fits well in small spaces, which is especially important for those who don’t have much counter space or storage. Thanks to the rechargeable USB feature, you can bring this blender on the road or travel anywhere as long as it is fully charged using the USB cable.
After filling the blender with ingredients, seal the lid tightly shut and press the vacuum button on the top. Once the vacuum is done, locate the blend button on the bottom of the blender (I couldn’t find it at first!) and it will mix for a few seconds. You may need to press the blend button several times to get the desired consistency.
I used the blender to make a smoothie using frozen pineapple chunks, baby spinach, frozen banana pieces and coconut water. But, since this vacuum blender does not have the strong horsepower that a traditional blender has, I suggest not using frozen or large chunks of food. Instead, I suggest using only one frozen item at a time and make sure the pieces are very small. Or, consider using only non-frozen fruit and vegetables for a smoother consistency. Some suggestions: unsweetened applesauce, yogurt, crushed pineapple and soft fresh fruits.
